Jean Reeves-Yates
Home Manager

It’s my privilege to welcome you to our care home.
Care isn’t just my career, it’s my calling, shaped by years in nursing and management and deepened by supporting my own mum through her dementia journey. I know how vital it is that every person feels genuinely seen, valued, and safe.

Inspirational, Devotion, Excellence, and Nurturing are not just our values - they are my core beliefs and shape everything I do:

Inspirational -I believe in the power of positivity and creativity to transform everyday life. My greatest joy is sparking moments that lift spirits and bring laughter—whether it’s a singalong in the lounge or the quiet sharing of a cherished memory. “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” This philosophy guides my approach: I aim to be the kind of leader who ignites hope and helps others discover their own possibilities.

Devotion - I am devoted to fostering a true sense of belonging for every resident, family member, and staff member. This means listening deeply, being present, and ensuring every voice is heard and respected. Caring is at the heart of my role, not only for residents but for families and our dedicated team, so everyone feels supported and valued.

Excellence - Excellence, for me, means never settling. I hold myself and our home to the highest standards, always looking for ways to improve and personalize our care. Whether it’s customizing support around lifelong routines or collaborating closely with families, I will always strive for the best, because every detail matters.

Nurturing - is woven into all I do. I am committed to creating a warm, family atmosphere, where residents feel cherished, families feel welcomed, and our team is empowered to give their very best. Our home is an extension of yours, filled with warmth, compassion, and joy.

To everyone who steps through our doors:
Here, you are part of our family. My personal promise is to cultivate an environment rich in comfort, dignity, and kindness, where every individual’s story is honored and celebrated.

Umbreen David
Umbreen David
Owner and Managing Director

Iden Manor has been part of my life since 2003. From the moment we found the building, I knew it would have a meaningful part to play in the local community and beyond. My role has always felt like one of stewardship - to lead with passion, protect what makes this place special, and make sure our values are reflected in everything we do.

Whether that’s the way we support our team, welcome new residents, or respond to the small things that matter most to someone’s day.

David Baulk
David Baulk
Finance Manager

I’ve worked in finance for over 20 years, with experience across both the hospitality sector and health and social care. I joined Iden Manor six years ago, and my focus has always been on making sure the home remains financially sustainable, while staying true to our values of inspiration, devotion, excellence and nurturing.

My role sits behind the scenes, but everything I do supports the day-to-day running of the home. Whether it’s planning ahead, adapting through change, or making careful decisions about how we use our resources, I aim to deliver the same standard of excellence that underpins everything at Iden.

Executive Personal Assistant to MD & Business Manager

I was recently appointed as Executive PA to the Managing Director, since joining the Iden Manor family as Business Administrator in November 2024. I’m proud to have progressed into this new role and I’m looking forward to continuing to support our home with the skills and experience I’ve developed.

Before joining this team, I worked in another nursing home as Administration Manager from 2019 to 2024. That role gave me valuable insight into the care sector and a real appreciation of the importance of strong administration in helping care teams deliver the best possible service.

At the forefront of both my PA role and in overseeing our wonderful small admin team on site, I strive to ensure we uphold the home’s values and always put residents at the heart of everything we do.

What I enjoy most about my work is being able to support all departments, doing my best to make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so colleagues can focus on providing high-quality care. I find it very rewarding to know that the work I do contributes to residents, families, and staff having the best possible experience.

I’m excited to continue this journey and to play my part in helping us deliver the highest standards of care across the organisation

Kelly Tuffee
Lifestyles Lead

I have worked in care for 15 years, and I can honestly say I absolutely love what I do. For the past 5 years, I’ve been a Lifestyle Co-ordinator, and nothing gives me more joy than seeing a smile on our residents’ faces. My role is about so much more than activities – it’s about creating moments that matter and supporting every resident to live the best life they can.

We hold regular wellbeing meetings, both one-to-one and in groups, so that every resident has a voice. Whether it’s trying something new, enjoying a favourite hobby, or planning an outing, I want each person to feel heard, valued, and inspired.

The values of IDEN – Inspirational, Devotion, Excellence, and Nurturing – really sum up what’s important to me and my team . To be inspirational is to bring fresh ideas and positivity into our home. Devotion means giving my heart to this role and truly caring for each individual. Excellence is about always striving to give our residents the very best experiences and opportunities. And nurturing is at the centre of everything – building trust, listening with empathy, and helping residents to flourish in their own way.

For me, being a Lifestyle Co-ordinator is about bringing joy, dignity, and purpose into every day.

Ossie
Ossie
Resident Companion & Unofficial Groundskeeper

Ossie is a much-loved part of the Iden Manor team. He’s a five-year-old Border Collie and visits whenever Umbreen is on site. Most days you’ll find him trotting around the grounds, greeting contractors, popping into resident rooms, or fast asleep under the meeting table - usually at Umbreen’s feet.

He’s protective, curious, and always happy to be petted once he gets to know you. Whether he’s watching the world go by or checking in on the team, Ossie brings humour, company, and a wagging tail that fits right in.

It’s not official, but we think he feels Iden Manor is his home too.

Robert Smith
Robert Smith
Head Chef

As a Chef Manager, I am driven by a passion for excellence, creativity, and compassion. My role isn’t just about preparing meals; it’s about crafting experiences that nourish both the body and soul. Every dish I create is an expression of my commitment to define food with life which is vibrant, meaningful, and full of purpose.

I firmly believe that food should not only satisfy hunger but also enhance well-being. That’s why I dedicate myself to tailoring nutrition to meet the specific needs of each resident. I take pride in ensuring that every meal is made from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients sourced from local producers where possible. This commitment to quality ensures that the food I serve is as nutritious as it is delicious, supporting the health and vitality of those I care for.
At the heart of my approach is a deep sense of compassion. I understand the importance of creating an environment where each person feels valued, cared for, and supported. Food is a bridge to connection, and I see my work as an opportunity to positively impact the lives of others.
With a foundation built on integrity, dedication, and innovation, I strive to bring joy, comfort, and health to every meal I serve.

Joshua Barden
Joshua Barden
Estates Manager

I have been part of the team for the past three years. I’ve enjoyed every minute of working here, it’s a place I’m proud to be a part of. My main responsibility is overseeing the day-to-day management of the building and ensuring full compliance of health and safety requirements, with the goal of creating a safe, comfortable environment where our residents feel truly at home.

What matters most to me in my role is listening to our residents, understanding what they need and want from us as a team. I believe that by engaging with residents directly, we can continue to build a home that is not only safe and well-managed, but also warm, welcoming, and responsive to their needs.

Outside of work, I’m a passionate Liverpool fan! You'll often find me keeping up with the latest matches and cheering on the Reds!

I’m excited to see what the future holds here at Iden Manor, and I’m committed to continuing to make it a place our residents are proud to call home.

Becky Smith
Becky Smith
Head of Housekeeping

Being Head Housekeeper at Iden Manor is more than just a job to me, it’s something I feel truly honoured to do.

I’ve always believed that a clean, fresh, and welcoming home can lift the spirit and bring comfort, especially for those who may not be able to look after their space themselves anymore. For me, it’s not about dusting and polishing, it’s about creating a place where our residents feel safe, cared for, and cherished.

Our values of being Inspirational, Devoted, Excellent, and Nurturing guide me every single day. I feel inspired by the people I care for, devoted to making their home as warm and inviting as possible, and I take pride in doing every task to the very best of my ability. Most of all, I want to nurture an environment that feels full of kindness and love because this isn’t just a nursing home – it’s where our residents live, and they deserve the very best.

I know that when families visit, they want to feel reassured that their loved one is in good hands. My greatest joy is when I see a resident smile because their room feels fresh and comfortable, or when a relative tells me it feels like home. That’s when I know I’ve made a difference.

Aditya Puryag – Adi
Clinical Coordinator

I’ve been a nurse for over 18 years. I trained in Mauritius and have worked across hospitals and community settings, in both public and private healthcare sectors. My heart has always been in community care, and that passion guided my journey when I moved to the UK. I started as an Associate Practitioner, became a Registered Nurse, and now I’m proud to serve as the Clinical Coordinator here at Iden Manor Nursing Home.

I bring a wide range of experience from both acute and community settings, and one of my long-standing aspirations has been to take on a clinical leadership role. I feel incredibly privileged to be part of the Iden Manor team, surrounded by brilliant, capable colleagues and visionary managers. Together, we live out the values of Inspiration, Devotion, Excellence, and Nurturing, delivering care that’s as individual as each resident.

Nick Newton
Garden & Grounds Manager

I have maintained the Gardens and Grounds at Iden Manor since August 2023, having previously worked in the construction, landscaping, and the golf and leisure industry both in the UK and Southern Europe.

Iden Manor is set in 15 acres comprising 5 acres of formal gardens, ancient woodland and fields.

Features include a mainly herbaceous border which extends beyond 100m in length which mirrors the shape of the Manor House itself with lawn terraces, two large Wisteria to the southern bay windows, a rose garden flanked by Yew hedges, a memorial garden and 58 named and protected trees, being mainly Oak, Ash, Aspen, Western Red Cedar, Scots Pine and Irish Yew. A principal feature is the 2 acre main lawn facing South with wild meadows and trees beyond.

The gardens are a joy both to the residents, their many visitors and myself !
