Family-Run Care in Kent: The Story of Iden Manor Residential Home

In 2003, our family first set eyes on Iden Manor. From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt it — that sense of quiet charm, the way the light fell through the tall windows, and the warmth that seemed to radiate from the very walls. We knew instantly it was somewhere special.

At the time, Iden Manor was a private residence with a long history of service to the community. We saw not just a beautiful building, but a place with the potential to become a true home — a sanctuary for those in need of care, and a place where staff could feel supported and valued.

Turning that vision into reality took dedication, love, and a belief that care is as much about the environment as it is about the people who provide it. Over the years, we’ve welcomed many residents, each with their own stories, personalities, and needs. And just as we did on day one, we continue to provide the kind of care that honours their dignity, respects their individuality, and supports their well-being.

Today, Iden Manor remains a place where history and heart meet — and where our purpose, set over twenty years ago, still guides everything we do.
